The book, Discernment –Reading the Signs of Daily Life, by Henri Nouwen will be our guide. Nouwen was a remarkable person, a Roman Catholic priest comfortable with Protestant leaders, Latin peasants, urban intellectuals, US senators, wealthy patrons, and the mentally and physically disabled. His parish was everywhere and his congregation was everyone. Nouwen has much to teach us about discernment!

Gardens of Hope
Join us as we plant seeds of hope in Haiti Envisioning a healthier future for Haiti---That’s the focus of Grace Children’s Hospital in Port au Prince, Haiti.
Grace Children’s Hospital began more than forty years ago, when James and Virginia Snavley made their first trip to Haiti. What began as a vacation became a mission of love. They decided to open a small clinic for boys and girls with tuberculosis. Writing to their friends in North America, they shared a vision to restore health and wholeness to hurting children—one precious life at a time.
Grace Children’s Hospital continues its ministry today and is one of the four missions that the Gardens of Hope Campaign supports. The Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church is committed to supporting Haiti through the Gardens of Hope Campaign. Some people have already donated to this worthy cause and we will continue to make information available during this first half of 2026. You are invited to place your donation in an envelope with the words ‘Gardens of Hope’ at any time during the year and we will be sure your offering is forwarded to plant seeds of hope in Haiti.

The next RED BAG SUNDAY is
January 4, 2026
Would you like to give the gift of food to help local neighbors? We collect food on the first Sunday of the month, often in available red reusable bags. Thus the name, Red Bag Sunday! All that is collected goes to the local food pantry, Cros-Lex Project Blessing, for distribution.

Everyone is Welcome
First Time to Lexington United Methodist Church?
Church can be an intimidating place to visit for the first time— especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means in mind, body & spirit at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love, and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

4th Sunday Fundays are Here!
All ages gather in a relaxed worship space created to bring all ages together and experience worship and faith formation together. Young disciples experience a meaningful message, create something that helps them connect to God, and help lead worship. And there are snacks! Every student gets a packet to take home with lessons and activities to help them learn about God, Jesus and the Church.
Children of all ages are always welcome in the sanctuary. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in Holy Communion which is on the first Sunday of each month.
